Like a couple of the other coaches at LearnToRide.ORG, George enjoys road course motorcycle
racing. George's bike sports the number 666 on the WERA circuit. WERA is primarily an
amateur racing organization, but world class racers including Nicky Hayden, Ben Spies, Josh
Hayes and many other famous racers got their start racing in WERA.
George doesn't expect to get a call from any of those guys sponsors anytime soon. He's just
having the time of his life and doing something he wanted to do ever since he was a kid.
WERA usually schedules two racing events in Nashville at the Nashville SuperSpeedway, one in
(or near) April and the other one in late September or early October. George also races in
Birmingham, Alabama (Barber Motorsports), Talladega, Alabama (Talladega Gran Prix Raceway -
not the NASCAR track), and Braselton, Georgia (Road Atlanta). George invites you to check
out the WERA website for scheduling information and
come out to watch some great racing action sometime.
