LearnToRide.ORG Coaches - Joe Michael
Joe Michael moved to Nashville about 25 yrs ago from his home in Alabama. He started riding motorcycles when he was a young teenager.

When he came to Nashville, the first vehicle he bought was a motorcycle. Over the years he has had several different bikes. As time marched on and "life" took over and responsibilities came first. He took a break from motorcycling for about 20 yrs while raising his family. Joe has two sons and a daughter as well as six grandchildren.

Although motorcycles "were out of sight" (as they say) they were never "out of mind". Joe came back on a 2002 Black Yamaha Road Star Silverado. He enjoyed the Road Star very much. He then moved on to a Harley Road King.

A few years he traded for an 03 HD Ultra Classic. Last year he traded the 03 in for a brand new 07 HD Ultra Classic. His first brand new bike. Joe put 12,000 miles on his new bike in the first 4 months he had it.

He rides every day year round except in heavy rain & snow. Joe became interested in becoming a Rider Coach to earn a little extra money but it wasn't long before the love of coaching took over.

He discovered he has a sincere passion and enjoyment for coaching new riders. Joe is also a Road Captain in the 'Southern Cruisers Riding Club" and he is well known as "CowboyJoe" He is also a singer. He loves to listen to classic rock and sings country & gospel. In day to day life, he is a fabricator at GAF Corporation.
